Lucas Mire': I Just discovered his music and from what I have heard already I am VERY impressed. Here is what some of the critics are saying:

"An ascending folk-pop voice on the local scene, Miré's storyteller wit is well-matched with his rich, natural baritone." -- Bill Addison, Creative Loafing, Atlanta

"Graceful melodies that are as catchy as they are insightful. Musically, it's a nice blend of cool, breezy acoustic pop/rock -- fresh but familiar at the same time. Lucas invites you to take a peak into his soul in this diary of a bright-eyed boy who's wiser than his years and has a unique perspective." -- James Cool of Madison Park (BasicLUX Records)

"What's evident from the beginning on the CD is that Miré's strengths lie in his songwriting. As a lyricist, he cuts deeply and honestly into the maelstrom of angst and pain that color intimate relationships. And the candor is frequently startling." -- Van Gower, New York Blade, NYC

His new CD "Forever's Not As Long As It Used To Be" can be purchased here:   http://cdbaby.com/cd/lucasmire

Erasure: Their new single "Breathe" is a breath of fresh air.  Great gift to the fans that stuck with them after the last 2 ROTTEN albums.  If this single is any indication they have their groove back.

Simon Cowell: One of music's harshest critics doesn't think Beyonce is so bootylicious. "I find the whole Beyonce thing really mystifying," Cowell says in Esquire magazine. "She's not sexy, she hasn't got a great body and she's not a great singer." AMEN to THAT Simon!

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory:  I just saw the trailer to this new version of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.  Apparently this is supposed to be based much more firmly on the book (written by Roald Dahl) than the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  It looks FANTASTIC. Johnny Depp is so very dark.  I hope that they keep it as dark and delicious as the original book. I cannot wait for July 2005!

Betty White: Did you hear Betty White utter the phrase "you're a douche bag" on Boston Legal this week? She rules.

Michael Powell: The Federal Communications Commission Chairman announced that he is resigning from his position. He was meant to have served through 2007.  Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Mikey!

Chris Burke: OK. So "Corky" from tv's "Life Goes On" has recorded quite a few albums. One is entitled "Singer With The Band". F&*%ING BRILLIANT! He does a punk rock cover version of "California Dreaming" that will bring a tear to your eye. I kid you NOT.

Mamasan's Restaurant: This Rochester treat is my favorite restaurant ANYWHERE in the world. The Cashew Chicken is to DIE for. Feel free to peruse their website @ www.mamasans.com. I could not recommend them enough.

William Shatner: He has a new album out called "Has Been". It is FANTASTIC, and he continues to blow me away every week on Boston Legal.

Kathy Griffin hosting the Red Carpet @ the Golden Globes on E!: HYSTERICAL! She needs her own talk show ASAP! She told Jeffrey Tambor he had nice breath and then asked if he had any weed. Priceless!

MadTV: SNL wishes they were this funny.

Amy Sedaris: Brilliant! Offbeat, Off Kilter, Off Her Rocker! Never fails to make me laugh. Go out immediately and purchase the Strangers With Candy dvd's. You will thank me.

VH1's The Surreal Life: Just when you think it cannot get any more bizarre that last season.... This is a train wreck. I LOVE it! p.s. Peter Brady is HOT!

Jessica Simpson: I know..I know...I just can't help it.
